Cybersecurity Awareness Week
Did you know that October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month? Missoula College was recently recognized as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyberdefense (CAE2Y), and we are excited to host a week of Cybersecurity Awareness for students, faculty, staff, and the community.
Students from our Information Technology (IT) program will host FREE cybersecurity diagnostic checks on notebook computers, smart phones and tablets. They will help to ensure your devices are secure, and that you're utilizing your security on the internet to its maximum defense. The diagnostic checks will be sponsored by LMG Security.
On Friday, Blockchain Specialist Lou Person will lead a presentation on blockchain technology and its emerging importance on the internet. Blockchain is a disruptive technology of decentralized networks used to exchange assets and conduct trusted transactions.
This will be followed by a reception at Blackfoot Cafe, sponsored by Alter Enterprise LLC, with food and drinks.
