Instructions for New, First-year Students

Fall Admission: Preparing for Course Registration

Please review the Next Steps outlined in your acceptance packet and be sure to complete the following:


  1. Complete Bear Tracks - Please pay careful attention to complete each required task within the My Academics section of Bear Tracks.

  2. Register for New Student Orientation

  3. Complete each remaining step on this First-Year Pre-Orientation Checklist

All first-year students attending the Missoula College will be registered for a set of core courses based on their intended major after they have completed the Online Bear Tracks program.  Students will receive an email containing their core course schedule and the contact information of their primary advisor so they have the opportunity to ask questions or discuss changes or adjustments.

Spring Admission: Preparing for Course Registration

 

Please review the Next Steps outlined in your acceptance packet and be sure to complete the following:

 

  1. Register for spring New Student Orientation

  2. Complete each remaining step on this First-Year Pre-Orientation Checklist

 

Students pursuing the general AA or AS degree will then contact the Missoula College Academic Advising Center for instructions on scheduling an advising appointment.

 

Students pursuing a specific AAS degree or Certificate are advised within their specific program.  Contact information for each program's advisor can be found in the Missoula College Advising Directory.
