General Sociology Emphasis Baccalaureate Tracks

General Sociology Emphasis Baccalaureate Tracks

These two Baccalaureate Tracks are for students interested in completing the Associate of Arts (AA) degree followed by a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in General Sociology.

A few notes regarding the plans:

  • Courses taken through the mountain campus are indicated with "Mtn."
  • Students do not earn credit for M 090 to count toward graduation; the credits do count toward total semester credit load for financial aid purposes, however.
  • Grades of C- or better are required for all Sociology courses intended to count toward the major.
  • Recommended Missoula College electives could include courses in Chemical and Addiction Studies (CAS), Communication Studies, and Psychology. (Note: PSYX 100S is the prerequisite for all other PSYX courses.)
  • Total credits for AA degree (both plans): 60-62

General Sociology Emphasis Baccalaureate Track #1

This General Sociology emphasis track is for students who place into WRIT 101 and M 090. Should the student place below these levels, additional coursework may be required; this, in turn, may extend the length of the overall plan.
