Meet with a professional writing tutor from the Writing Center! MC students are welcome to all Writing Center tutoring services that apply to them. For the appointment times, mountain campus hours, and more information see the Writing Center.
Our tutors help writers:
- at all ability levels
- from any department on campus
- at any stage in their writing process
- with all kinds of writing assignments and projects
Bring any information you have about the assignment and a printed copy of whatever planning or writing you've done. If you can't keep an appointment, please cancel using the online scheduler or by calling 243-2266.
International Students:
For students whose first language is not English, we offer one-hour appointments. Use the online scheduler to view availability and make appointments. International students are also welcome to sign-up for standard half-hour sessions.
Graduate Students:
We can help with graduate level projects, seminar papers, and thesis/dissertation work. Call 243-2266 to set-up an appointment with the tutor who has the most experience in your field.
Online and Distance Students:
For UM students not studying in Missoula, we offer synchronous online tutoring. Send an email to onlinetutoring@umontana.edu, and one of our online tutors will contact you within 48 hours to set up an appointment. During the appointment, you and the tutor will discuss your draft/assignment and work on it together.
Faculty and Staff:
